When Hatred Is Doctrine Why Iran’s Threat Won’t Disappear
For decades, Iran has declared in no uncertain terms: "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." While some in the West have dismissed these chants as political theater or empty posturing, the facts speak louder than the slogans. Iran’s commitment to these goals is not merely rhetorical—it is operational, financial, and deeply spiritual. The Unfolding Threat Iran is the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Through Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Houthis, Iran has fueled endless conflict and unrest across the Middle East and beyond. These aren't just ideological partners—they are well-armed, well-funded militant wings of Iran's long war against the Jewish state and Western civilization. Hamas and Hezbollah have fired thousands of rockets at Israeli cities. The Houthis, emboldened by Iranian weapons and support, have crippled global shipping lanes in the Red Sea. The Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions remain unchecked, and its enrichment levels are dangerously close to weapons-grade. If not for Israel’s Iron Dome, its people would already be buried under the rubble of Iran’s proxy attacks. The only thing that has prevented full-scale catastrophe is technology and God’s mercy. A Dangerous Miscalculation by the West Western governments often assume that deterrence—mutual assured destruction—will keep Iran in check. But this assumption falls apart under the weight of Iran's theological worldview. Iran’s clerical leadership doesn’t operate on secular logic. Their ideology is shaped by apocalyptic prophecy, particularly the emergence of the Mahdi, Islam's prophesied savior. In their view, global chaos—especially the destruction of Israel and America—paves the way for this religious fulfillment. This is not a foreign policy, they believe it's divine destiny. “Killing the infidel,” in their worldview, glorifies Allah. Martyrdom is reward, not punishment. As long as that belief drives the regime, traditional deterrents are ineffective. Scripture and the Spots That Won’t Change. Jeremiah 13:23 (KJV) “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.” Iran has been steeped in this evil ideology for over 40 years. Its regime has shown no interest in peace, reform, or repentance. Even protest movements within Iran are ruthlessly crushed, revealing a leadership that fears no man—and, tragically, no God but their own construct. Our Response: Watch, Pray, Prepare This is not just political. It’s prophetic. Like Saul of Tarsus believed he was doing the will of God, the Iranian regime believes it's doing the will of Allah by destroying the infidel. But unless there is a Damascus Road encounter, they will not turn. Their spots are not political, they are spiritual stains that only God can wash clean. Until then: Israel must remain vigilant and armed. The West must abandon appeasement and face the threat soberly. Believers must pray for divine intervention, not just diplomatic resolution. Because only Jesus Christ, not sanctions, not treaties, can change a death chant into a song of salvation.
